Derek met Scottish missionary, Peter Ferry, at the conference last weekend. He has served in Thailand for 60 years and still preaches each week and leads Bible studies throughout. The pastor on the left was just a teenager when Mr Ferry baptized him, and now he is leading others to Jesus. I pray that you and I will have the chance to see generations of believers in Thailand from the investment that we've made as well.

Praise God!  Derek met two people engaged in "M" work in Southern Thailand. One young gal, Fern, is a mobilizer and leads the Kairos course in churches to encourage her people to share the love of Jesus with their M neighbors. She was really excited to hear our team might be coming. A foreign man, Edward, taught at a university in the South and as we have been brainstorming about strategies, beginning a ministry among university students is an idea that keeps surfacing. 

Prayer...

1. Praise God for these two contacts the Lord gave Derek and please continue praying for His leading for our team in regards to taking His love into the South.

2. A week closer to teaching our 3rd term and we both are encouraged by what the Lord has given us this week. Derek, especially, has had some great ideas for his class in NT Greek. Thanks, Lord!

3. Derek spoke to the seminary president today about the Holy Spirit Weekend and he was positive about holding it. He wants to talk it over with the rest of the staff in two weeks. Please continue to pray that if this is what God wants, that He would take care of the details - permission, translation, etc.
